Privacy Policy
Privacy is a core part of how Utilir is built, not an afterthought. This page explains, as specifically as possible, what data is and isn't collected, and under what conditions.
Content You Process in Tools
The JSON, SQL, regex patterns, text, colors, and Markdown you paste into Utilir tools, and the images you upload to the Image Compressor and Image Resizer, are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript and the HTML canvas API. This content is never uploaded to a server and is not visible to us in any form. When you close the tab or clear the input, that data is gone.
What We Do Not Collect
- The content you paste, type, or upload into any tool
- Account information: Utilir does not require or support account creation
- Precise location data
- Any data sold to third parties
Analytics
Utilir can optionally use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which tools are popular. Analytics is disabled unless a Google Analytics measurement ID is explicitly configured through an environment variable. When enabled, the events tracked are limited to product usage signals liketool_opened, tool_used, copy_clicked, download_clicked, and search_used, identified only by a tool name or search query length, never by the actual content you entered into a tool. If analytics is enabled on this deployment, Google Analytics may set cookies and collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Advertising
Utilir is designed to support Google AdSense as its primary monetization method. Advertising is disabled unless explicitly enabled through an environment variable and a valid AdSense publisher ID. When enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may include personalized advertising depending on your settings and region, subject to Google's advertising policies and your own ad personalization settings.
Cookies
Utilir itself sets a single local storage entry (not a cookie) to remember your light/dark theme preference on this device. No tracking cookie is set by Utilir directly. If analytics or advertising are enabled on a given deployment, those third-party services may set their own cookies as described above.
Third-Party Services
Fonts are self-hosted at build time and are not requested from a third-party font provider at runtime. The only third-party services Utilir can integrate with are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both disabled by default and only active when explicitly configured with valid credentials.
Accuracy of This Policy
We aim for this page to accurately reflect the current configuration of this deployment. If analytics or advertising are disabled, no data is sent to Google from this site beyond the standard network request information inherent to loading any web page. If you believe this page is inaccurate for the site you are visiting, please get in touch through the Contact page.
